Customize/extend the meta-information for a document folder

To do this, you first create an extended content type, It is based on the content type of the document set, as follows:

  • Click on Create, Enter a name for the type of solution to be created, Select under Select parent content type from the entry The document set content types and then under Parent content type the entry Document set.

  • Click on OK.

You have created a new content type for a document folder, the below add your own columns/attributes.   • Click on Add from new site column, to create a new column type Selection (Menu) Add

  • If you then for the document library on New document Click, can a new document set type Solution create and fill in the new columns (or even change).
